I have been entering the MPSGS for a number of years now, it is a beautiful show that is handled very professionally. I've been fortunate enough to be able to attend it in person a number of times. Everything is presented very elegantly and in the pristine setting of the Strathmore. Having visited and seen a number of miniature society shows, I can say that I have not seen a nicer or more elegant show.

The attendance of the exhibit was wonderful - during the show opening events when I was there and sales were brisk. There were visitors from many foreign countries, both artists and art lovers. Exposure in the Washington Post is a real benefit to the artists participating in the exhibition. Collectors commented on this year's high quality. The show has drawn numerous new artists this year as well.

In conversations with the officers of the society, I can also comment that you will not find a more dedicated group. They work very hard to provide this beautiful venue for collectors and miniature artists.

The show's website has also provided great exposure to the artists who placed this year - it was promptly updated showing images of all of the awarded works as a preview of the show.

Hi Rebecca,

Thanks so much for keeping us updated on this show. It sounds like it was a wonderful show and a great place for miniature artists and miniature art lovers to come together. I noticed you mentioned exposure in the Washington Post. Was there an article written, or are you referring to the announcement of the show?

Hi Barbara,

The president of the society mentioned that to me in conversation. He didn't specify that it was about a notice or article - just that it brought many, many people into the show, so I really can't say. ...but he is very nice, I'm sure he would be happy to chat about his exhibition if you asked him (the secretary would be happy to help as well for that matter).

Best,

Rebecca
