Exhibit Rules
ELIGIBILITY: This exhibit is open to all artists, 18 and
over.
MEDIA: Any two or three dimensional fine art media,
including non-digital photography, hand pulled
prints, pottery, fiber and sculpture. (No crafts or
reproductions will be accepted.)
SIZE: 2-dimensional work must be no larger than 35
square inches (not including the frame). 3-
dimensional artwork must be no larger than 8x8x8
inches, including the base, and must be securely
attached to the base or must stand freely if no base is
required.
2-dimensional work must be framed or have
wrapped, finished edges, be dry and ready to hang.
3-dimensional work must be original and not made
from kits or pre-cast forms.
IDENTIFICATION: Title, medium, artist and price must
properly identify all work. Art should be available for
sale.
NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Artists may submit one or two
entries.
ENTRY FEES: There is no entry fee for this exhibit.
DELIVERY ARTWORK: Entries should be shipped
directly to the Carriage Factory Gallery. Artwork
should arrive at or be delivered to the Carriage
Factory Gallery no later than November 15, 2008.
ACCEPTING ARTWORK: Artwork is accepted and
installed at the discretion of the Director of the
Carriage Factory Gallery and the Board of Directors
of the Carriage Factory Gallery.
We have a large exhibit area and as much of the
submitted artwork as possible will be exhibited. In
the event we receive too many pieces for all to be
exhibited, one piece from every submitting artist will
be displayed. If that piece sells, the second piece will
be displayed.
All artwork will be displayed on the gallery’s web
site throughout the duration of the physical exhibit.
SALES: A 40% commission will be charged on all
sales. Artists will be notified in the event of a sale
and will receive checks approximately three weeks
after the close of the show.
INSURANCE: The Carriage Factory Gallery carries
insurance on all exhibits while artwork is in the
gallery’s possession. Gallery insurance DOES NOT
cover damage or loss duration transit.
RETURN OF ARTWORK: Artists are responsible for
payment of return shipment for all unsold work. If
you have an account with a carrier such as UPS,
FedEx, DHL or others, you are encouraged to
provide return shipping labels. All other artwork will
be packaged, shipping quotes will be obtained from
either FedEx or USPS and artists will be notified of
the cost. Packages will be shipped ONLY AFTER
PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
