I am fairly new to the world of miniature art, as it was while we were on holidays in Tasmania, that I first came across some miniature paintings and fell in love with the fine detail and intricacy of this addictive art form. Since then, I have dabbled with my own attempts at miniature art. I was thrilled to bits, in April of this year (2007) to be accepted as an Exhibiting Member of the Australian Miniature Art Society (NSW) and was then blown away when, at their National Awards Exhibition in July, one of my watercolours won both Best Watercolour and Best in Show. I have found that watercolours on watercolour canvas achieve the best results for my style but just love to see what other artists achieve on different mediums.
